Our story

On December 8, 2015, today's Cup's was actually born. A crazy idea at dinner at Guida's house soon turned into a larger project. What was often labeled as a"waste of time" began to take shape. The whole family (Antonio, Christine, Patrizia and Gianluca) was more and more enthusiastic about the idea and they decided to give the dream of their own café a chance. A cup, the most important part of a café, should be the namesake and in a language that everyone understands. The Cup's was born.

Since part of the family is eating health and whenever possible vegan, it quickly became clear that this principle would be very important to us. We want to use natural products wherever possible and produce many dishes ourselves. A long experimentation phase began. We came to the conclusion that eating healthy and tasty complement one another perfectly. Homemade coffee syrups, toppings, smoothies and recipes for small snacks and desserts were created. Every taste of all family members was taken into consideration.  Since Antonio has Italian roots, we also wanted to offer an Italian atmosphere and offer typical Mediterranean specialties in the café. Since good typical Italian "caffè" is hard to find in Switzerland, we decided to offer it directly ourselves.

On May 1, 2017, the time had come. The former "Roc Sport" was completely rebuilt. The whole family was at work with a lot of passion. The whole project was made by the family. Thanks to everyone who helped to make Cup's shine in today's look!   Our concept and idea behind it are to offer a relaxed, cozy, easy and family atmosphere with a touch of Italian lifestyle. Our specialties include typical Italian coffees based on Italian espresso, lattes with homemade syrups, plain and filled croissants, piadina, panini, focaccia, cannoli, biscotti, homemade or real italian thick hot chocolate, various types of tea, milkshake and smoothies. Since the restaurant only has about 18 seats, our focus is on take away and all products are available in different sizes. We also attach great importance to healthy and vegan nutrition. Many of our sweets such as piadina, croissants etc. are available vegan and soy, almond or oat milk, orzo or ginseng coffee are not foreign words but everyday business.
